Senior Technical Activations Specialist Needed

Celero Commerce is looking for a Senior Technical Activations Specialist to lead the onboarding and integration process for new merchant clients. In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and merchants to configure devices, troubleshoot issues, and support seamless transitions to Celero’s payment processing solutions.

You’ll work across multiple systems, handle unique setups based on merchant needs, and provide high-touch support during the activation process. This is a great fit for someone who understands payment technologies and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Guide new merchants through the installation, setup, and training of their processing solutions.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors or platforms to complete integrations as needed.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and network issues related to terminals or processing applications.
• Support merchants in creating and understanding daily reporting tools.
• Provide guidance on using Celero’s Merchant CRM and processing systems effectively.
• Educate merchants on best practices for secure and efficient card transactions.
• Recommend improvements to enhance the activation process and overall experience.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company standards.

Experience & Requirements:

• Brentwood, TN - based position 
• 2+ years of experience in merchant services, ideally in a technical or support-focused role.
• Familiarity with APIs, web services, and payment processing technologies.
• Understanding of pricing strategies like dual pricing, surcharging, and Level 1/2/3 processing.
• Ability to explain and advise on credit card acceptance best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and proposing solutions.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and decision-making across varied project types.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other technical tools.
